Bubba Watson hits bunker shot pass to Justin Thomas during PGA rain delay

Bubba Watson and Justin Thomas -- along with the rest of the 2017 PGA Championship field still playing Round 2 -- had some time to kill on Friday when a weather delay at Quail Hollow Club forced a suspension of play.

So, as the pair were warming up again to get ready for play to resume, the pair were at the short-game practice area at the Charlotte club. That's when the pair came up with a great trick shot that really has no applicability to what they'll be doing when play gets going.

From a spot in the practice bunker, Watson hit a sand shot as Thomas was sprinting (sort of) in golf shoes on a route to catch the ball from the explosion. In stride, Thomas completes an easy reception for the touchdown (sort of).

It was an impressive feat by Watson to lead his man well, and good on Thomas to not have butterfingers and pay off the shot.

Both Watson and Thomas are enjoying a nice comeback on Friday as they get toward the cut line, which is likely to now be made on Saturday morning with waning daylight.
