Sangmoon Bae is set to make his return to professional golf after completing a compulsory tour in the South Korean military.
Golf Channel reports Bae will return at the Shinhan Donghae Open, played Sept. 14-17 at Bear's Best Cheongna Golf Club.
Bae began a nearly two-year obligation following the 2015 Presidents Cup in his home country, and he completes his obligation on Aug. 16. This event is hosted by the Korean PGA Tour and co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour.
Bae will make his return to the PGA Tour with the start of the 2017-18 PGA Tour season. The PGA Tour carved out room for Bae to return under a major medical and family crisis exemption, so he will have full status. Golf Channel reports Bae's agent was unable to confirm a solidified schedule during the PGA Tour's fall portion of the new season.
Bae, now 31, last won the PGA Tour at the 2014 Frys.com Open.
