The 2017 British Open Championship betting odds have been updated after Thursday's first round at Royal Birkdale in England, where Jordan Spieth, Brooks Koepka and Matt Kuchar share the lead after each shooting 5-under 65.

The current betting favorite is Jordan Spieth, who now carries 4-to-1 odds seeing as he's the player sharing the lead with the most major titles under his belt. Brooks Koeoka, the reigning U.S. Open champion from just a month ago, is at 8-to-1 in search of a second consecutive major win and becoming the first player since Spieth in 2015 to win his first two majors back-to-back.

Matt Kuchar is 9-to-1 (+900) in search of his first major title. Paul Casey (11-to-1) and Hideki Matsuyama (16-to-1) are also looking for a breaktthrough major win.

Despite shooting 71s, Rory McIlroy is 25-to-1 and world No. 1 Dustin Johnson is at 33-to-1.

Prices will vary depending on how you go about finding reputed sportsbooks.
