Getting out of the bunker -- any bunker -- is a challenge for scores of golfers. For the guys of "Talking GolfGetaways," who both love playing golf with hickory-shafted clubs from a bygone era, a trip to the beach can be especially perplexing.
You try hitting out of a bunker with an early 20th century Sarazen sand wedge and let us know how easy it is.
So, when Mitch Laurance found himself in a bunker on the 11th hole at Cabot Cliffs in Canada over the Independence Day weekend, it was a bit of a given that he might not get out in one. However, we didn't expect him to take quite this many.
Mitch tries, tries and tries some more, but he just can't make it work. Then he finally gets out, and he turns to his caddie and apologizes. There are no sorrys in golf, but Mitch kept on moving.
