Donald Trump visited the golf course for the 30th time as President

Donald Trump paid a weekend visit to his Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va., marking the 30th time the 45th President has visited one of his 17 golf clubs (and presumably played some golf) since becoming President on Jan. 20, 2017.

Trump had paid his 29th visit to a Trump-owned golf course on June 11 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., which will host the U.S. Women's Open in three weeks. Trump likely played the 18-hole course which hosted the tournament. There are 36 holes on the property. He played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday that weekend.

There is some dispute over which golf trips his represented, considering during at least one trip Trump took to his Northern Virginia course, he was there for on 43 minutes. We had his count at 26 times through June 11.

NBC News reported this was Trump's 30th trip to a Trump-owned golf property. The administration claimed Trump was going to do work at the club, which is hosting a club tournament this weekend. However, NBC News reports several people in golf clothing got into the lead car of the president's motorcade.

The Trump Administration, per policy, does not acknowledge that Trump is playing even a hole of golf, much less an 18-hole round. However, if he's going to the golf club for about 4-5 hours, you can be pretty sure he's playing golf.

The President is certainly entitled to some leisure time, and golf has been an outlet for most Commanders-in-Chief dating back to the early 20th century. However, the reluctance to even acknowledge that this President plays golf conflicts with his almost relentless criticism of his predecessor, Barack Obama, who played an estimated 333 rounds of golf as President.
