Playing at Royal County Down is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a lot of players. But for those golfers, they know that with links golf comes some bizarre, humbling situations.
That happened to architecture expert Ian Andrew when playing Royal County Down with our Darin Bunch, finding himself with an impossible lie in one of the Ulster clubs of record. So, he decided to innovate. He turned his club over took an open stance on the crazy bunker wall and splashed the ball out of the sand in between his legs.
It's an amazing stroke of genius that lands in some high grass. But at least he's still not in there!
