2017 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play brackets, groups

The 2017 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play gets underway for the second year from Austin Country Club in Texas, with 64 top-ranked players getting into the match-play field.

The WGC-Match Play bracket is made up of 16 groups of four players, with the field of 64 players divided up evenly. The top 16 players in the field in terms of order of the Official World Golf Ranking qualification head up each group. Then players are chosen at random from Group B (17-32), Group C (33-48) and Group D (49-64).

The groups and matches will be announced Monday night on Golf Channel during a selection special in which the groups will be randomly decided.

The players in each of the 16 groups then play a round-robin group against each other, with each player getting three matches. The player with the best record in each group moves on to a 16-man, single-elimination tournament, playing in 18-hole matches until a winner is crowned on Sunday.
