The 2017 European Tour schedule has been released, and it includes 48 events, complete with three reinvigorated tournaments for the season. The Portugal Masters returns, as does the Andalucia Masters, which will be hosted by Sergio Garcia. A new event in Sicily, Italy, is also on the docket.

The schedule highlights the Rolex Series events, seven tournaments with a purse of at least $7 million, with the season-ending DP World Tour Championship, Dubai having an $8 million purse.

Disappearing from the schedule are the True Thailand Classic, Mauritius Open, the King's Cup and Open de Espana, which has been on the schedule since 1972.
