The 2016 World Cup of Golf was won by the Denmark team of Soren Kjeldsen and Thorbjorn Olesen. They finished at 20-under 268 in the two-man event at Kingston Heath in Australia.

The format of the event saw foursomes (alternate shot) on the first and third rounds, with best ball for the second and final rounds.

Three teams -- the U.S. duo of Jimmy Walker and Rickie Fowler, the French team of Victor Dubuisson and Romain Langasque and the Chinese team of Wu Ashun and Haoton Li -- finished tied for second, three shots behind the Danes.

Denmark won the $2.56 million winners' share ($1.28 million each) of the $8 million purse.
