The LPGA Tour’s 2016 Race to the CME Globe ended at the 2016 CME Group Tour Championship, which played out with some drama as to who would win the season-long points title and the $1 million first-place prize.
Ariya Jutanugarn outperformed Lydia Ko on the weekend and beat her in the season-ending tournament to secure her first Race to the CME Globe title, marking the first time someone other than Ko has won the season-long race.
The top three players in the final standings are paid part of the $1.25 million bonus pool.
