Alex Ovechkin’s golf swing may be terrible, but at least he has a hole-in-one

The internet has recently rediscovered Washington Capitals' goal-scorer Alexander Ovechkin's horrible, bad golf swing, thanks in part to the NHL Network sharing some new video of The Great 8 playing golf.

However, Ovechkin probably has done one thing on the golf course that you haven't: make a hole-in-one.

Back in 2008, Ovechkin was competing in the Capitals' charitable golf tournament in what was his first-ever round of golf. And, as you might imagine, his swing was terrible -- basically equally as bad as it is in 2016. There were plenty of whiffs and misses. However, when Ovechkin made contact on the 160-yard par-3 fourth at a hole on a golf course in Springfield, Va., he shot and scored.

His ball took three hops, then went in the hole, much to the delight of Ovechkin and the small crowd.

So, just remember, if you don't have a hole-in-one yet, it could happen at any time.
