Jason Day had the lowest combined score in golf’s 2016 major championships

Though he did not win a major in 2016, Jason Day turned in the best combined performance in the four major championships.

Day is one of 13 players to make the cut in all four majors this year, which played to a combined par of 1132 (288-280-284-288). He turned in a total score of 9 under par, making him the only player to finish under par combined in 2016.

Next best was Jordan Spieth, who finished at 3 over par. Further back in third place would be Emiliano Grillo, who was at 10 over par.
