If you're a fan of "Game of Thrones" and golf, then you're probably feeling deja vu as you're watching the 2016 British Open Championship on Golf Channel and NBC.
That's because you're hearing a familiar voice narrating videos about Royal Troon, the Open, the Claret Jug and Scotland. Stephen Dillane, the actor who played Stannis Baratheon on "Game of Thrones," is doing the bulk of those voiceovers offering color to the third major of the year.
This is the first year Golf Channel and NBC are airing the British Open, and they're picking up on the ESPN and ABC tradition of filming and airing vignettes in between golf shots to give some color to the history of the championship and host country.
Stannis Baratheon was ultimately killed on "Game of Thrones" in Season 5 by Brienne of Tarth as revenge for allowing his daughter, Renly, to be burned to death.
