Lee Westwood got divorced from his long-time wife, Laurae, in 2015, and moved back to the United Kingdom to be near his two children, who returned back from their former home in the United States.

Westwood gave up his PGA Tour card to focus on the European Tour and a schedule that allowed him to spend time with his children.

Along the way, he met his new girlfriend, Helen Storey, who travels with him regularly, including over to the United States for the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont.
