Jon Rahm cold shanked one on Saturday in the third round of the 2016 Quicken Loans National. There's no way to sugar-coat that.
On the par-3 13th at Congressional Country Club, Rahm pulled a short iron off the tee, and the ProTracer was running. He leaned in toward the ball, hit it with the very inside of the club and sent it straight right into the trees closer to the 12th fairway. The Arizona State product, who is making his pro debut this week, looked down as his golf club to make sure there wasn't something wrong.
From where Rahm's ball landed, the Spaniard found the green at No. 13 and needed an uphill putt to make par. However, he was unable to do it, dropping a shot against the lead of Billy Hurley III.
