The cut is about to be made at the U.S. Open, and a lot of players are on edge wondering if they'll get to play the final 36 holes in the national championship.

The cut rule at the U.S. Open is among the strictest in the majors, with only the top 60 players and ties getting into the final two rounds. There is no 10-shot rule, which means there's no guarantee that a player within 10 shots of the lead qualifies for the weekend rounds. There is a 10-shot rule at the Masters.

For the 2016 U.S. Open, that means the cut line is at 6-over-par 146. Earlier in the second round, it seemed like the cut could even come at 7 over. However, we'll have our weekend field of 67 players at 6 over or better.
