We now know the design and look of the medals 120 golfers will be playing for in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
The Rio organizing committee shared images of the gold, silver and bronze medals for all of the Olympic events. They sport a modern, clean design. On one side is Greek-themed vining on the sides and the Rio Olympic logo. On the other is an image of a runner with symbolic wings with a historic looking Olympic stadium on the back.
Golf returns to the Olympics in 2016 after a 112-year absence. There will be two 72-hole, stroke-play tournaments during the Olympics, with a 60-player men's tournament kicking off on Week 1, followed by the women a day later on Week 2.
