The PGA Tour heads home for its crown jewel, The Players Championship from the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Rickie Fowler will defend the title he won a year after playing the final six holes in 6 under, then surviving not only a three-hole aggregate playoff but making a birdie on the fourth playoff hole -- his third birdie in three Sunday cracks at the island-green par-3 17th -- for his biggest professional win.

Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and Rory McIlroy, as well one of golf's deepest fields, looks to unseat Fowler.

Golf Channel has live coverage on Thursday and Friday, with NBC Sports taking over on the weekend afternoons.
