What happened to Marcel Siem’s trademark manbun?!

Marcel Siem has one of the most recognizable looks in golf. The German's pony tail slash manbun has become his calling card over the years of a very successful European Tour career.

So, imagine the surprise of a lot of golf fans when they saw Siem's long hair was gone at the Volvo China Open. He cut it off.

We don't know if the German lost a bet, donated his locks to charity or just decided it was time to cut his hair. Whatever the reason, it seems to have helped his performance. Siem finished tied for third in China for his best finish of this European Tour season, putting an end to a lousy run of five missed cuts in his last six starts. This is Siem's first top-10 finish since a T-5 in Abu Dhabi in February.
