2016 Zurich Classic of New Orleans Monday qualifiers

Marc Turnesa, Dalton Ward, Matt Mabrey and Jordan Payne earned the four spots into this week's 2016 Zurich Classic of New Orleans through the Monday qualifier.

Turnesa, a PGA Tour veteran and former winner, was the medalist at LaTour Golf Club in Mathews, La., shooting 8-under 64 to get into the field.

Ward, Mabrey and Payne all shot 7-under 65 to lock up a tie for second place and the remaining three places in the tournament this week at TPC Louisiana.

The 38-year-old Turnesa will make his fifth start this season on the PGA Tour, having finished T-28 at the Sanderson Farms Championship in November for his only cash. He missed the cut by a shot at last week's Valero Texas Open.

Ward, a South Carolina native, is making his first Tour start since missing the cut at last year's Wyndham Championship, also getting a place in the field through Monday qualifying.

Mabrey is a product of the University of Tulsa who made his pro debut last year in the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay.

Payne, who turned 28 on April 15, is a University of Memphis grad who has missed the cut in his two Adams Pro Tour starts this season, including last week.
