You love playing golf. However, you probably hate buying clothes to play golf. Even if you don't mind shopping for threads, putting together an outfit that doesn't make you look color blind may be a Hercluean task.

For that segment of the golf population -- or even the sartorial wizards out there -- BogeyBox could be your salvation.

BogeyBox is a personal shopping service designed specifically for golfers, offering members a way to purchase hand-picked clothes to fit your personal style, body shape and needs.

The journey starts on the BogeyBox Golf Club website, where you sign up for a membership, which runs $100 annually. As part of that sign-up process, you'll fill out a questionnaire where you'll describe your preferred fashion look, fit and sizing, as well the stores you'd typically go to buy golf clothes.

Once you sign up, you'll be assigned a PGA of America professional who becomes your fashion sherpa, guiding you through the process of purchasing individual boxes, which typically come with several different outfits. You'll be in contact with your pro with each order, taking special requests and gauging what you're looking for with a particular purchase. After that conversation, the pro sends you a preview email with the outfits they've put together for you -- again, based on your stated preferences. You give the OK, then they send out the outfit.

A few days later, a nice box arrives at your door from BogeyBox, complete with the outfits you talked about with your pro. From there, it's on you to try on the clothes, see how they look and fit. Odds are, some clothes you'll love, some you won't. Some will fit perfectly, others won't be quite what you expected -- especially the first few times around, as you get used to how different fashion houses cut their clothes.

And that's the point. It's an ongoing relationship between you and the pro to figure out your style -- particularly if you don't really know it yet -- and get to a happy place. In my case, I liked pretty much everything in the box.

The great thing about BogeyBox is that your purchasing process doesn't end with the shipment you get. You decide what to keep and what you want to return, which you send back to BogeyBox in the same package you received with a pre-paid return label. You'll then get charged for the clothes you keep based on the pricing shipped to you with the outfits, and you can work with your pro on the clothes that perhaps you'd like to purchase if something was different about them.

Another nice facet of the service is you can purchase outfits a la carte or set them to come in regular intervals. So you can fill your closet with updated looks on a routine basis or you can get something to impress for that member-guest or business meeting (BogeyBox does some business attire as well).

BogeyBox is going to be great for someone who cares about how they look but probably doesn't have the time to go to a store, scour out clothes and go through the whole process in a brick-and-mortar store. BogeyBox keeps you at home, lets you try everything on and takes you on a guided path to finding the right fashion for you.
