John Daly to make PGA Tour Champions debut at Insperity Invitational in May

We're going to be seeing a whole lot more of John Daly, starting this spring.

This April 28, Daly turns 50, making him immediately eligible and exempt to play PGA Tour Champions, the PGA Tour's senior circuit renamed this year from the Champions Tour.

Daly will make his PGA Tour Champions debut at the Insperity Invitational, played May 6-8 at The Woodlands Golf Club in The Woodlands, Texas -- former home of the Shell Houston Open. He's also committed to play in the Principal Charity Classic in Des Moines, Iowa, from June 3-5.

The PGA Tour Champions folks are pretty excited to have one of golf's all-time most colorful and sympathetic characters inside the ropes on their no-cut circuit. Ahead of this week's Allianz Championship, Daly competed in the tournament pro-am and shot some promotional materials before Daly gets busy for the year.

The two-time major winner should be an injection of energy for the tour, which Bernhard Langer has dominated, more or less, for a decade.
