Jason Dufner pulled off an incredible recovery shot on the the 17th hole of the final round of the CareerBuilder Challenge that could prove the difference between winning and losing.
Dufner's tee shot to the island-green par-3 on the PGA West TPC Stadium Course went long, landing in the rocky hazard surrounding the putting surface. The 2013 PGA champion's ball wound up in a small, sandy crevice between some rocks. Tied with David Lingmerth at 25 under par, Dufner was left with no choice but to try to pull off the shot and get up-and-down for par.
He almost made birdie.

Dufner tapped in for par to remain at 25 under and moved on to the 18th hole with a chance to win in regulation.
Were Dufner to pull out the win in the California desert, it would be his first since winning the Wanamaker trophy at Oak Hill in 2013.
