VIDEO: Alvaro Quiros’ cruel Portugal Masters 1-foot lip-out

Alvaro Quiros was the victim of one of the cruelest lip-outs you'll ever see on Thursday in the opening round of the Portgual Masters.

Quiros missed a 10-foot birdie putt on the par-5 12th, leaving about a foot to tap in for par. The long-hitting Spaniard hits the putt, the ball hits the back of the cup and Quiros starts toward the cup to pick the ball out. However, instead of going down for a par, the ball comes out of the cup. All Quiros can do is smile after he hit a second tap-in -- this time, it went in -- for bogey.

The bogey dropped Quiros to 2 under on the round, but a pair of birdies in the final three holes at Oceanico Victoria G.C. gave him an opening 4-under 67 that left him three shots off the lead.
