The majors typically inspire some of the best golf fashion, but the Open Championship tends to inspire some of the most suave golf clothes and footwear .

adidas Golf has an especially awesome pair of shoes for the Open's return to St. Andrews. They've announced a limited-edition tartan-print pair of the adicross IV spikeless golf shoes (MSRP $90). The blue-and-yellow tartan pattern on the upper is meant to honor the host country Scotland, while blue detailing on the upper and inner lining completes the look.

There are only 144 pairs of the shoes, as well another 144 pairs of adipower boost shoes (MSRP $190) sporting the tartan print on the insole along with a gold Scottish thistle found in both shoes.

As part of the Plaid Pride line, there are also two T-shirts and a tartan-print hat (MSRP $28 each).
