In just a few weeks, Tom Watson will make his final competitive walk over the Swilcan Bridge at the Old Course at St. Andrews. The five-time Open champion will be making his final appearance in golf's oldest major at the Home of Golf.

Ahead of the championship, Watson and sponsor Polo Ralph Lauren put together a video to build the mood for what will surely be an emotional moment.

Watson never won the Claret Jug at St. Andrews, earning them, in order, at Carnoutie, Turnberry, Muirfield, Royal Troon and Royal Birkdale. Watson was 54-hole co-leader in 1978 at St. Andrews, but a final-round 76 left him in a tie for 14th. He was in the same position in 1984, finishing joint runner-up to Seve Ballesteros. The Stanford product missed the cut at the Old Course in 1990 and 2010, was T-31 in 1995, T-55 in 2000 and T-41 in 2005.
