A round of golf with the elusive Anthony Kim was auctioned off for $24,500

Anthony Kim is an enigma and has left thousands -- maybe millions -- wondering if he'll ever play pro golf again. A September 2014 Golf.com article suggests not, thanks to an eight-figure insurance policy that hinges on him never again playing on the PGA Tour.

So, that means the only way you're going to see what kind of game A.K. has these days is to play with him in a casual round. Well, someone paid handsomely over the weekend for that very opportunity.

A round with Kim was auctioned off at country singer Toby Keith's annual charity golf event in Oklahoma, and it fetched $24,500 as part of the $575,000 raised in the silent auction Keith himself emceed. An Open Championship package -- not with Kim -- went for $20,000, according to the Oklahoman.

The event, which included a tournament at Belmar Golf Club, raised $1.2 million to benefit the Toby Keith Foundation and its efforts to build and support the OK Kids Korral, a retreat for pediatric cancer patients and their families while undergoing treatment away from home.

Kim was spotted in Las Vegas last month, as poker player Jean-Robert Bellande shared a picture with Kim in a Sin City night club.
