The Top of the Rock Golf Course, which hosts the Champions Tour's Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf event, now has four new sinkholes after a "geological event" on Friday morning.
All four formed around 6:30 a.m. The biggest sinkhole is 60 feet by 80 feet and 35 feet deep, located between the practice tee and a pond near the entrance to the property.

Sinkholes are not uncommon in the Ozarks, where Top of the Rock is located, according to the Springfield News-Leader. Water is constantly moving underneath the rocky soil, creating spectacular caverns and the occasional sinkhole.
The Big Cedar Lodge, which owns the course, is working with engineers to figure out how they'll fill the hole, which could take up to two weeks The good news for the facility is that the sinkhole won't impact tee times, but it does create a new hazard.
