The European Tour returns to its headquarters this week for its flagship event, the BMW PGA Championship. The erstwhile British PGA Championship has taken on new life with BMW as host and the Ernie Els-redesigned Wentworth Club hosting the event.
Rory McIlroy is defending champion, winning a year ago just days after announcing the end of his engagement with former world No. 1 tennis player Caroline Wozniacki. He is going off at 5-to-2 odds, which makes sense since he has won two of his last three starts. The up-and-down Justin Rose, who has been more up than down of late, is next best at 10-to-1. Then it gets into 25-to-1 odds, including Francesco Molinari, who likes this course but isn't playing his best.
