Rory McIlroy and his muscle shirts have gotten a lot of air times in the last three weeks, with the world No. 1 winning the WGC-Cadillac Match Play and the Wells Fargo Championship.
Michelle Wie is a fan, saying of the Ulsterman to Golf Magazine, "Well, I think Rory looks great. I love all the bright colors I've seen him in. And he works out a ton and fills out his clothes better."
McIlroy might be an eye-catcher with well-fit clothes, but he admitted Monday he still can't beat (comparative) old man Tiger Woods on the weight bench. Asked by Dan Patrick who benches more, McIlroy came clean: It's Woods.
"I probably have shorter arms so I don't have to move the bar quite as far as he does," McIlroy said. "I probably bench 230-ish, 240 for one. I'm sure Tiger's up around the 300 mark."
Now the question is how Woods would fare against the 17-year-old who beat McIlroy in an arm-wrestling contest.
