Most Unusual Player award

As you get older, you learn that not everyone should get a trophy. Trophies are for achievements, damn it. They're not for participation or congeniality. They're for winning! Right?

Well, the York County (Pa.) Golf Association doesn't seem to think so, kind of. They awarded John Lowder Jr. with its "Most Unusual Player" award at its annual ceremony. Lowder shared a picture of the plaque on Reddit.

We're obviously not certain of the criteria here. Unusual swing? Unusual etiquette? You come to the course dressed in full hunting camo? Who knows, but Lowder's a winner.
