Ben Crane demonstrated on Friday the old adage in golf, that they don't make you draw pictures on the scorecard.
On Thursday in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, Crane took a conventional approach to the 476-yard, par-4 sixth at TPC Louisiana. That left him a 3-wood into the hole and struggling to make par. So Crane took a completely different route on Friday, and it led to a much easier par.
That's an interesting line to take, @bencranegolf. #QuickHits http://t.co/nI7tLuys10

Crane lined up and hit his tee shot over some short-ish trees, landing his ball on the 12th hole. The drive left Crane with 163 yards to the hole and a manageable 8-iron. Sure enough, Crane made par.
