The Masters app is always great, but it's become even better this year with its Track feature. Now you can follow the shots of your favorite players in real time, regardless of TV or streaming coverage.
Now, while the Track feature is great, it isn't quite like the PGA Tour's ShotLink. The Masters app shows the length of each shot, as well the distance remaining, so a fan can follow along with how a player gets around each hole at Augusta National. However, it doesn't compile specific statistics live or compare them with the field.
However, it does offer something ShotLink doesn't, which is an overhead satellite map of the property on which the Track feature lays each shot. The Track feature has whole-hole and green-specific views, including accurate hole locations.
The Track feature is new this year, added to an app that gives access to the Masters TV telecast, as well exclusive channels covering Amen Corner, hole Nos. 15 and 16, as well two featured groups.
The Masters app is available for iOS devices, including a specific iPad app, one for iPhones and an Android version.
