Angel Cabrera's son, 25-year-old Federico Cabrera, is in an Argentinian hospital after a car crash that killed his passenger.

Cabrera was driving a Chevy Camero on a road in the town of Rio Ceballos when he lost control of the vehicle and drove his car off a small bridge into the water. Cabrera's passenger, 30-year-old Luciano Duarte, was pronounced dead at the scene. Cabrera was taken south to a medical facility in Cordoba city with "serious fractures," according to Telam.com.

Angel Cabrera, a two-time major winner, is still entered in this week's Shell Houston Open.
