Dustin Johnson has a date circled -- in pencil -- on the calendar to return from his indefinite leave of absence from the PGA Tour.
Johnson is considering a return at the Farmers Insurance Open, played Feb. 5-8 at Torrey Pines near San Diego, according to Golf World.
That tournament would coincide with plans to wait until the birth of his first child with fiancee Paulina Gretzky to return, as well a Golf Magazine report in August that Johnson was suspended by the PGA Tour for six months after a third failed drug test under their anti-doping program.
Golf World reports Johnson has been preparing for a return to the PGA Tour since October, though he played some casual golf in Idaho in the initial days after stepping away from the Tour.
It appears pending fatherhood has whipped Johnson into shape, turning him from an often flaky guy into a more responsible player bent on a resounding return.
