We took Veteran's Day off. Criminals didn't, including a couple who led police on a chase right into a golf course water hazard.

The couple was being pursued by California Highway Patrol in what officers believe was a stolen truck, when the driver of the pickup truck crashed through a gate leading onto Tahquitz Creek Golf Course in Palm Springs. The chase ended when the couple drove the truck into a water hazard off the ninth hole.

The pair were arrested after safely escaping the truck to get back to land. The truck was towed from the water. The course was otherwise not damaged.

Here's a tip: Golf courses are usually closed-off places, so they're not a great spot to lure the cops.
