Fred Couples won't have a chance to finish the Regions Tradition at Shoal Creek in Alabama. Couples failed to show up for his final-round tee time and was disqualified by officials.
Couples was scheduled to tee off at 9:40 a.m. off the 10th tee with Bob Gilder and Tom Purtzer, but Couples never appeared.
No reason was given for Couples being M.I.A., but he was 8 over through 54 holes. Speculation suggested Couples' notoriously fickle back was acting up again.
