To the Bat Cart! Has a nice ring to it, right?

For the small prize of $17,500, you could have been saying that. A golf cart that has been modified to look like the Batmobile sold for that much on eBay today, a little after 3 a.m. ET.

A California company sold the golf cart, which the sellers say was on the Warner Brothers lot next to the Batmobile used in the latest resurrection of the franchise. Most of the time, however, it's been on display.

An EZ-Go cart was taken down the studs and cupholders, then its frame rebuilt with sheet metal. The cart engine was replaced with a go-kart engine that allows to cart to go up to 38 mph. The tires were replaced with 28-inch Super Swamper wheels, a smaller version of the Batmobile's tires. It has a kill switch for security, an iPad stand, adjustable leather seats, backup warning alerts and a Batman logo on the steering wheel.

All told, it cost some $30,000 to make.
