Have we mentioned in the last week or so how great it is to be Arnold Palmer? No? Well let us remind you.
Palmer's alma mater, Wake Forest, was playing the University of Maryland Terrapins (my alma mater twice over) on Saturday in North Carolina. The King was in the neighborhood, making the 5-millionth Meals on Wheels delivery in the area, so he came over to the football festivities. The university also unveiled a statue of Palmer at their golf complex on Friday.

Palmer escorted the Demon Deacons into their stadium as he rode in the back (not going to use the colloquial term) of a motorcycle with the Demon Deacon mascot driving.
The Deacs won 34-10 in an absolutely devastating loss for the Terps, who lost two wide receivers and a chance to be bowl eligible.
Now the Terps get to stare down former No. 3 Clemson, who was walloped at home by Florida State on Saturday night. Great.
