Stricker’s Savages: Say hello to the Steve Stricker fan club

When Steve Stricker gets behind the wheel of an Avis rental car, it helps him transform from a man into a savage. (Said deadpan.)

Well, that savage now has a fan club that's following Stricker at the BMW Championship. Three young kids, who must have cut school to spend Monday at Conway Farms for the BMW Championship final round, are wearing hand-drawn T-shirts with "Stricker's Savages" written on them.

They're adorable, also wearing Titleist hats to match their hero. (Said deadpan.) And I understand, as I created my own "I am Phil Mickelson" shirt years ago in response to the Nike-Tiger Woods campaign.

This is way better than Choi's Bois, but in a tie with Duff's Dips, for best current fan club. No word on how often the club meets, but it's about half as much as they used to, right, Stricker?

Meanwhile, Stricker is in the hunt at the BMW Championship, one shot behind Jim Furyk at 13 under par.

UPDATE: We heard from the guys who were Stricker's Savages on Twitter, so give them a follow.
