The Nedbank Golf Challenge will be a part of the 2014 Race to Dubai on the European Tour, it was announced Thursday.

The South Africa-based event has been a part of the Sunshine Tour schedule since its inception, but will now be co-sanctioned.

The tournament will boost its field from a paltry 12 players to 30, continuing to make it eligible for world ranking points. The prize pool will increase by $1.5 million to $6.5 million, with the winner getting $1.25 million, the same amount Martin Kaymer won last year in taking the event at Gary Player Country Club.

The makeup of the field will change to include exemptions available for 10 players from the final top 30 of both the FedEx Cup and Race to Dubai results.
