PGA Championship: Rain cancels play for Saturday, resumes 7:45 a.m. Sunday

PGA of America officials have called play for the day at the 94th PGA Championship after a 100-minute weather delay.

Play was halted at 4:50 p.m. Eastern time in anticipation of storms striking Kiawah Island. At 6:30 p.m., play was suspended for the day.

Rory McIlroy leads the championship at 6 under par with 49-year-old Vijay Singh. McIlroy is 4 under par on the round through nine holes, while Singh has played seven holes in 2 under.

Adam Scott is at 5 under, while 36-hole co-leader Carl Pettersson is at 4 under.

Tiger Woods has dropped three shots through seven-plus holes with Singh, now at 1 under for the championship.

The tournament will resume at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, with the final round beginning at 11:45 a.m. in groups of three off of Nos. 1 and 10 until the final groups at 1:45 p.m.
