Lord’s help: Donald sporting new caddie for second round of The Open

Luke Donald has a temporary caddie for the second round of The Open Championship, but don't worry, Donald has won before with him.

Regular caddie, John McLaren, was given the day off on Friday so he could be with his wife for the birth of their first child.

“New caddy (Gareth Lord) on the bag today as I've given Johnny the day off to welcome his 1st child into the world!! Gd luck Mr & Mrs McLaren," Donald tweeted ahead of his second round at Royal Lytham and St. Annes.

The world No. 1 has won with Lord in the past. McLaren had the week off at Disney last year when Donald rallied on Sunday to win the Children's Miracle Network Classic and take the PGA Tour money list title.

On the eve of that winning charge, Lord sent Donald a text on Saturday night saying "it's not over yet." He meant the tournament, not their relationship.
