18 Days of Golf, Gift 1: TLink Golf GPS unit and app

Kicking off our 18 Days of Golf is a perfect stocking stuffer for the golfer in your life.

TLink Golf, based out of Canada, has picked up quite a following with their lightweight golf GPS unit. Retailing for $99, the unit, which is about the size of your thumb, pairs with your mobile phone using the TLink app. Once you register an account and pair the device, you're ready to rock with reliably accurate numbers to the front, middle and back of each green. The app picks up your location automatically, and you can pick up a round on the fly. For an additional annual fee, you can track your game using in-app features. The app also can double as a pedometer to track your steps.

The unit itself is lightweight -- perhaps the lightest in the market -- and it charges via the same mini-USB port that most non-Apple devices use. You can use it for a handful of rounds on a single charge. It only uses about 20 percent of the battery life of your phone.

It also comes with two ways to carry the device while you play: a molded plastic belt clip and watch, both of which are comfortable and functional. They come in black, but you can personalize in a variety of colors for $15 each for the watch and $12 each for the belt clip.

Sounds great, right? We're doing even better. You can save 15 percent on your purhcase when you use the promo code GNNGOLFER at checkout on the TLink website!
