Who’s on 2016 U.S. Ryder Cup team: 8 automatic qualifiers, 4 captain’s picks

The 2016 U.S. Ryder Cup, captained by Davis Love III, will be made of 12 U.S.-born players, with eight of them qualifying automatically at the end of the PGA Tour's The Barclays on Aug. 28.

The eight players who automatically make the U.S. team come off of a single points list, with points assigned based on money earned in the majors in 2015, and in all PGA Tour events in 2016.

Love will make four captain's picks, with three coming after the BMW Championship on Sept. 11 and the final one coming after the Tour Championship on Sept. 25.
