Jack Nicklaus recently beat his age at Augusta National, which is awesome

Jack Nicklaus recently took pride in the fact that he carries a handicap index these days. Imagine that: an 18-time major winner getting strokes.

It's true. The 76-year-old says he carries a handicap index of 5. Well, that is until he played a couple of age-beating rounds of late, including an even-par 72 from the member tees at Augusta National. The Naples Daily News reports he shot the number in a post-Masters round with a business partner.

Couple that 72 with the 73 he shot in the previous round at a different event, and Nicklaus joked he's worried what the rounds will do to his index.

"I keep ruining my handicap," he said. "I keep shooting good scores. ... That's going to take me down to a 1 or a 2. I was very upset. I'll lose a lot of money on that."

How amazing would it be to get in a Friday game at Bear's Club in Florida? And if Nicklaus is on your team...getting strokes?!
