The first World Golf Championships event of the year kicks off on Thursday at Trump National Doral near Miami with the WGC-Cadillac Championship set to unfold at the resort's Blue Monster course.

For the third year, the world's best players will converge on Gil Hanse's redesign of the track, which has proven to become one of the most difficult courses on the PGA Tour. Dustin Johnson defends the championship.

The tournament airs on NBC Sports on the weekend, with regular Golf Channel weekday coverage and early weekend-round coverage.
