Rickie Fowler and Rory McIlroy appear set to take on each other in an 18-hole, made-for-primetime TV match on the Tuesday before the U.S. Open in June. However, they won't be playing as a twosome.

When the Associated Press broke the story of the planned June 7 match this week, the idea of celebrity partners for each player were floated. Now we know who those celebrity partners will be.

Justin Timberlake and Mark Wahlberg will team up with Fowler and McIlroy to round out the foursome at Detroit Golf Club, according to WXYZ-TV. Both Timberlake and Wahlberg competed in last week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, with Timberlake teaming up with Justin Rose and Wahlberg luring Bubba Watson to compete in the event for the first time in nearly a decade.

The event, which has not been formally announced, would air on Golf Channel for the early holes, with CBS picking up the finale of the match under the lights.

Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert reportedly hopes this event might help lure a regular PGA Tour stop to Detroit.
