Rory McIlroy will be seeing more clearly after having laser eye surgery on Wednesday.

The world No. 3 took to Instagram to share the update, as well a picture of what amounts to the human Cone of Shame, the goggles that many laser eye patients wear over their eyes for 24-48 hours following the procedure.

EXCLUSIVE: Our interview with Rory McIlroy

In the past, it has been uncommon to see McIlroy wearing glasses in a public setting. However, if you'll remember, McIlroy's ex-fiancee Caroline Wozniacki once shared a funny bedhead image of the four-time major winner sporting specs.

McIlroy is reportedly now engaged to girlfriend Erica Stoll  (pictures).

McIlroy is done for 2015, finishing up his year with a fourth worldwide win at the European Tour's DP World Tour Championship in Dubai and, in the process, locking up the tour's season-long Race to Dubai for the third time in four seasons.
