The grounds at Peterculter Golf Club in Aberdeen, Scotland, got a surprise on Monday after a nearby river swelled over its banks and flooded parts of the course.

Groundskeeper Dylan Meinen came to a water-logged bunker on the third hole and, to his surprise, discovered a salmon swimming around in the pooled water. Naturally, he shot video of the fish swimming around and posted it to his Facebook page.

“When I got down to the third hole, I saw that the bunker was flooded, however when I looked closer I saw a fish swimming about," Meinen told the Express. “I couldn’t really believe what I was seeing, so I phoned the course manager to tell him and he thought I was winding him up.”

The grounds crew tried to get the salmon out of the bunker with a net but couldn't wrangle it. Ultimately, manager Paul Sharp captured the salmon with his hands and got the squirming fish back to the river.
